Beginnings

Nothing can explain placing fibers in your hand and encasing a piece of your art glass in the fibers, wetting it, soaping it and rubbing it....You lose your place in the present and you fall back to a time when all the rubbing brought needed shelter and warmth. Now all the rubbing just creates art. This piece of wool and glass in your hand is alive. It wants to be manipulated and the softer the touch, the more it responds. You totally encase the glass until it disappears in a mat of fiber. You then cut to the heart of the glass, revealing its beauty and at the same time protecting it with the fiber. I am so intrigued.....
