Art Yarn Meets Rosiewildwoman
I am learning to spin and what I want to spin is big, chunky, textured yarn. Then I want to use that yarn to embellish my hats, pins, jewelry and anything else I can get my hands on. So that is what I am doing and I am liking it! The hat is comprised of scrap material from another project sewn together and then embellished......

God is an Artist
God Is An Artist
EPHESIANS 2:10 WEYMOUTH
10 For we are God's own handiwork, created in Christ Jesus for
good works which He has pre-destined us to practise.
Look around. See for yourself. God is an artist extraordinaire!
When we gaze at a beautiful sunset, or look at the infinitely
varied forms of life we find surrounding us, and realize that
God designed it all, it is easy to be impressed. God is an
artist. The most brilliant, creative artist ever to exist.
But when we look at our own lives and consider what God is
doing there, we tend to forget that God is an artist. He is
making something beautiful out of you and your life. You may
not see the beauty now -- you may not even see any design or
evidence that God is working -- but you will recognize it
someday.
God's intention for you is to be much more beautiful and
glorious than a sunset or a school of multi-colored fish. And
you will be! God will not fail.
"Wait a minute, preacher. I can see plenty of people that God
has failed on. They are anything but "beautiful and glorious"
-- inwardly or outwardly."
Yes... today. But God is not finished. Many great works of art
take a long time. Don't judge too soon!
SAY THIS: God is an artist and He is working on me. Go ahead,
God. Let's see what you can do. I am happy to be a canvas for
Jesus, the great creator, to work on.

THE CANCER I FELT
THE CANCER I FELT
combining feelings with the ancient art of felting
The oldest known description and surgical treatment of cancer was discovered in Egypt and dates back to approximately 1600 B.C.
Felt is the oldest textile fabric dating back as far as 6300 BC It is created from wool fibers that are densely matted together.
I’LL NEVER FORGET HOW I FELT:
WHEN I FELT SOMETHING WAS WRONG……….
HOW I FELT WHEN I WAS DIAGNOSED……..
WHEN I FELT THERE WAS HOPE………
WHEN I FELT THE SUPPORT FROM OTHER PEOPLE…….
WHEN I FELT THE SOOTHING BALM OF REMISSION…
WHEN I FELT I WAS NOT ALONE…….
WHEN I FELT OK AGAIN……..
THIS IS THE CANCER I FELT with my hands and my heart
WET FELTED ART BRA COMBINING RAW WOOL FIBERS WITH SILK AND NETTING AND CREATING FABRIC TO ENCASE THE BRA AS A SYMBOL OF ENCASING THE SPIRIT WITH LOVE AND SUPPORT.

Easter Blessings
LORD,
Thank You for the gift of HOPEYou gave us on Easter morning.
Because of You we know
That no problem is too difficult
And even death does not have power over us.
Thank You for the gift of JOYYou gave us when You were resurrected.
Because of you we know
That no matter how challenging life may be,
In the end we will rejoice again.
Thank you for the gift of LOVEYou gave us when You laid down Your life.
Because of You we know
That there is no sin too great to separate us
and we are incredibly valuable to You.
Thank You for the gift of LIFE,
You gave us when You left the tomb.
Because of Easter we know
this world is just the beginning
and we will spend forever in heaven with You.
We celebrate You, JESUS,
With hearts full of praise and gratitude
For who You are and all You've done for us!
Amen.

Jesus First then the Easter Bunny
I'm 62, how long have I had Easter in my mind but really never thought about it. As a child it was a time to wear beautiful dresses my Mom handcrafted for my sister and I. It was a time to eat chocolate, it was a time to hunt for Easter Eggs. We went to Church but it never sunk in, the chocolate talked and I listened.
For years my eyes were closed and my ears could not hear. Then, the veil was miraculously lifted but beyond that, when it lifted, I chose to see and I chose to hear. Through it all, we have free will to accept a relationship with God or not. The cross, which is the great evidence of his LOVE for each of us, stands as a fork in the road and its there that we decide whether to turn to God or to turn from God. Once you see and once you hear things change and what you accepted or tolerated before can no longer be the reason for your existence. As a parent, I was not a born again Christian, I did not lead my child towards the light. For this, I repent and I am forgiven. So....my question to myself is this???? What can I do to share God's LOVE with the people I love? I can remember, a long time ago, my dear child getting on a bus that came through the neighborhood for a local church on Sunday morning. I can remember my husband and I being frantic that our child had been kidnapped, tortured, killed, lost to us forever. I can remember finding him hours later sitting the the last row of the Church listening to the sermon. The people lost were my husband and I, not Michael, and we were lost for many, many years. We lost our Child at 13, I lost my husband at 60 and I found my soul at 58. I do not believe my child is lost, nor my husband and I know now I am not lost and I look foward to seeing them again. I pray that God will use me to share his gift of eternal life to all who chose him above the world and all that is in it. Something that burns in me now is to know what I really didnt care about before. So in researching Easter, it's all about Jesus first and the Easter Bunny second.
Theological significance from Wikipedia
The New Testament teaches that the resurrection of Jesus, which Easter celebrates, is a foundation of the Christian faith.[6] The resurrection established Jesus as the powerful Son of God[6] and is cited as proof that God will judge the world in righteousness.[7] God has given Christians "a new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead".[8] Christians, through faith in the working of God[9] are spiritually resurrected with Jesus so that they may walk in a new way of life.[10]
Easter is linked to the Passover and Exodus from Egypt recorded in the Old Testament through the Last Supper and crucifixion that preceded the resurrection. According to the New Testament, Jesus gave the Passover meal a new meaning, as he prepared himself and his disciples for his death in the upper room during the Last Supper. He identified the loaf of bread and cup of wine as symbolizing his body soon to besacrificed and his blood soon to be shed. 1 Corinthians 5:7 states, "Get rid of the old yeast that you may be a new batch without yeast—as you really are. For Christ, our Passover lamb, has been sacrificed"; this refers to the Passover requirement to have no yeast in the house and to the allegory of Jesus as the Paschal lamb.[11]
One interpretation of the Gospel of John is that Jesus, as the Passover lamb, was crucified at roughly the same time as the Passover lambs were being slain in the temple, on the afternoon of Nisan 14.[12][13] This interpretation, however, is inconsistent with the chronology in the Synoptic Gospels. It assumes that text literally translated "the preparation of the passover" in John 19:14 refers to Nisan 14 (Preparation Day for the Passover) and not necessarily to Yom Shishi (Friday, Preparation Day for Sabbath)[14] and that the priests' desire to be ritually pure in order to "eat the passover" in John 18:28 refers to eating the Passover lamb, not to the public offerings made during the days of Unleavened Bread (Leviticus 23:8).

Struggling all the time to NOT be a Pharisee
Are You A Pharisee?
MATTHEW 16:6,12 NKJ
6 Then Jesus said to them, "Take heed and beware of the leaven
of the Pharisees and the Sadducees."
12 Then they understood that He did not tell them to beware of
the leaven of bread, but of the doctrine of the Pharisees and
Sadducees.
Why did Jesus warn His disciples to beware of the Pharisees?
What did they do wrong?
(An entire chapter of the Bible (Matthew 23) is Jesus' teaching
against the Pharisees.)
The Pharisees were conservative, faithful "church" members.
They accepted the Bible as the written Word of God. They paid
tithes. They believed in miracles (at least in days past). They
wouldn't dream of stealing, committing adultery, or such
things. You would like living next to a Pharisee as they were
model citizens.
But instead of having a living relationship with God, the
Pharisees took the Word of God and made just another dead
religion out of it.
The Pharisee way of thinking is: keep up appearances. "It
doesn't matter so much what you are on the inside, as long as
you keep the rules (at least publicly)."
Notice that Jesus likened their teaching to leaven, or yeast.
Why? Yeast spreads easily and rapidly. Humans are very
susceptible to approaching God in this manner, "Keep the rules.
Just do these 10 things and you are OK."
Different groups may have different rules, but we all
accumulate them. It may be how many times each week you must
attend church meetings, or what kind of clothes you must wear,
or how you must wear your hair. Or, it may be a list of things
you cannot do. But, as long as you meet these requirements, you
are in good standing with your group (or denomination).
But, good standing with God is based on only one thing
according to the New Testament: faith in what Jesus did for us.
That alone is what makes us right with God. Not our works, but
Jesus' work.
LUKE 12:1 NKJ
1 ... He began to say to His disciples first of all, "Beware of
the leaven of the Pharisees, which is hypocrisy.
The Pharisees were hypocrites. That is, they put on an act.
What they pretended to be in public was not really what they
were like in private. They claimed to be perfect in keeping
God's law, but as humans they were all sinners, just like the
rest of the people were. Yet, in public, they insisted that
others keep the Law perfectly, or be condemned.
They were quick to pass judgment on others, and slow to extend
mercy or help. The Pharisees had a legalistic view of God's
Word and did not realize that God was merciful and wanted to
help people.
2 CORINTHIANS 3:6 NKJ
6 who also made us sufficient as ministers of the new covenant,
not of the letter but of the Spirit; for the letter kills, but
the Spirit gives life.
Using God's Word to "kill" instead of using it to minister life
is wrong. God's Word is meant to help people and lift them up,
not place such hard demands on them that they cannot ever
measure up. When we load people down with heavy loads of rules
to keep in order to be right with God, we are ministers of
death.
MATTHEW 23:1-5 NLT
1 Then Jesus said to the crowds and to his disciples,
2 "The teachers of religious law and the Pharisees are the
official interpreters of the law of Moses.
3 So practice and obey whatever they tell you, but don't follow
their example. For they don't practice what they teach.
4 They crush people with impossible religious demands and never
lift a finger to ease the burden.
5 "Everything they do is for show. . . .
If your "Christianity" is nothing more than a list of "do's and
don't's" then you are missing real Christianity, which is a
living relationship with Jesus Christ.
SAY THIS: Jesus does not want me to act like a Pharisee.

Be Who you Are!
As I looked around the room of eight women creating a sculpted needle felted doll out of wool fluff, I was amazed at how different each doll was. When my doll who was Mabel
on Day one of the workshop turned into Marvin on Day two of the workshop I was reminded about what can happen in your life if you let go....Let GOD. I think when we are creating we are actually as close as we can get to being our real self. Not always a comfortable thing but by looking around the room at the finished incredible dolls, I knew that the uncomfort and effort was well worth the finished art. It is sort of like that with God too.....Let him work in your life and he will create miracles and give you your true self.

10 But by the grace of God I am what I am....
ROMANS 12:2 WUEST
2 And stop assuming an outward expression that does not come
from within you and is not representative of what you are in
your inner being but is patterned after this age; but change
your outward expression to one that comes from within and is
representative of your inner being, by the renewing of your
mind, resulting in your putting to the test what is the will of
God, the good and well-pleasing and complete will, and having
found that it meets specifications, place your approval upon it.
God is a brilliant Creator. He only makes originals -- not
copies. According to Ephesians 2:10, you are God's work of
art.
God made you unique. So be all that God created you to be.
Don't try to be someone else. Don't try to be an ear in the
Body of Christ, if God made you a foot. Just be yourself.
This does not mean that you cannot improve, or grow. Growth is
part of God's plan. And we can certainly learn from others, and
imitate excellent actions and attitudes.
But too many people are insecure and hope to gain acceptance
from others by conforming to what they think will make them
popular or successful -- even though they hate it and know they
are not being real.
ROMANS 12:2 PHILLIPS
2 Don't let the world around you squeeze you into its own
mould....
Don't let the world pressure you into conforming.
Express the originality that God put within you. God made you
the way you are for a purpose -- His purpose.
This is not to encourage rebellion, of course. But it is not
God's plan for us all to be identical and do everything in the
same way.
I am not saying you have to try to be different. Just be who
God made you -- without fear.
Not everyone may like you, or what you do. But that is normal.
You can't always please everyone. Make it your aim to please
God by expressing what He made you.
ROMANS 12:2 NLT
2 Don't copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let
God transform you into a new person by changing the way you
think. Then you will know what God wants you to do, and you
will know how good and pleasing and perfect his will really is.
The Bible reveals many truths about who we are once we receive
Jesus Christ. We actually receive new life, a new standing with
God, and new ability. As you feed the Word of God into your
thinking, that new life will be able to manifest more and
more.
SAY THIS: I am what I am by the grace of God. I will be what
God made me and fulfil His plan for me.
Celebrating our uniqueness!

Submission for Felt United Day October 3, 2009

This was fun. I did not know about 2009 being declared the year of natural fiber by The United Nations and then I found Felt United by chance and their call for Felt United Day was to create something in yellow and red. I looked on my work table and lo and behold there was a neck wrap/necklace/head wrap I had created in red and yellow. (colors I never create in) WOW is all I could say so here is my submission....The young woman with the organ and the mouth piece is the reason for the name of the submission. Normal is never an option....thanks to Linda Danna Wildwoman Two....my bestest friend.

Beginnings

Nothing can explain placing fibers in your hand and encasing a piece of your art glass in the fibers, wetting it, soaping it and rubbing it....You lose your place in the present and you fall back to a time when all the rubbing brought needed shelter and warmth. Now all the rubbing just creates art. This piece of wool and glass in your hand is alive. It wants to be manipulated and the softer the touch, the more it responds. You totally encase the glass until it disappears in a mat of fiber. You then cut to the heart of the glass, revealing its beauty and at the same time protecting it with the fiber. I am so intrigued.....

The Purpose of Life

The Purpose Of Life excerpt from our Daily Devotion which Tom and I read each morning...An enpowering way to start the day
God created mankind primarily because He desired to have a
family. In order to truly fellowship with God, man had to have
freedom of choice. Unfortunately, man used his freedom to rebel
against God and fell from fellowship with God.
When man fell he came under the dominion of the devil, because
he followed the devil's suggestion to disobey God. With this
came spiritual death and a new nature which was selfish. Man
became self-centered -- actually worshiping himself by making
every decision based on what was best for him. The result of
this selfishness is evident all around us: horrible misery and
suffering.
God is just and obeys His own laws. Justice requires that
rebellion be punished. To be just, yet allow mankind to come
back into fellowship with Him, God Himself came to earth as the
man Jesus Christ. He suffered a horrible death as the
substitute for all mankind, taking the punishment we deserved
for our sins. Because of what Jesus did, God could justly
forgive all sin, and open a way for all people to come back
into fellowship with God.
Jesus Christ Himself is the only way to God. Only by receiving
Jesus can we enjoy the benefits of His sacrifice, which sets us
free from sin and its judgment.
Our life on earth now is testing and preparation for eternity,
to determine if we qualify to be in God's family. This is not
determined by human beauty or achievement, but by our
willingness to submit to the lordship of Jesus Christ. When we
submit to Jesus, He begins changing us into what He wants us to
be.
When you come to Jesus, He changes you inwardly. As you
continue following Jesus and obeying His Word, your inward
change will continue manifesting outwardly, causing people and
circumstances around you to change also. God will continue
working in and through you until you become like Jesus Christ
in your thoughts and actions, as well as your nature.
Thank you Lord for your great plan!

Dystopia in the Physical World

from Wikipedia and under considerable discussion as any topic like this would be.
A dystopia (from the Greek δυσ- and τόπος, alternatively, cacotopia,[1] kakotopia, cackotopia, or anti-utopia) is the vision of a society in which conditions of life are miserable and characterized by poverty, oppression, war, violence, disease, pollution, and/or the abridgement of human rights, resulting in widespread unhappiness, suffering, and other kinds of pain.[2]
To me, the description is of this physical world. These afflictions do not exist in the spiritual world. That is God's promise and what I choose to embrace.

Feeling Good

Daily I am assaulted with "feel good" remedies from lots of "people" who feel they have the answer to "feeling good"
It took time for me to understand that for me to "feel good" I had to ask for it from God through accepting Jesus Christ by which I gained eternal life.
The concept is so unbelievably easy that it can not be possibly so. But, in reality, it is not easy. It takes laying down my free will and accepting and not questioning God's will.
That is hard since I believed I knew what was best for me. But, knowing that I am on the path, not there by a long shot, but on the path, one step at a time makes me feel real good
