TRUE FREEDOM

   John 8:32

New International Version (NIV)
32 Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” (A)
Cross references:
  1. John 8:32 : ver 36; Ro 8:2; 2Co 3:17; Gal 5:1, 13

1.  The bible is the word of God and is living, yesterday, today and tomorrow.

2.  All sin is rebellion against God's word

3.  Eternal life is a gift of God and is the promise to those who struggle to follow       his word despite living in a fallen world and having a sin nature

4.  There is no pick and choose of God's Word to suit our preferences, likes or
dislikes

5.  Current worldly views either fit with God's Word or they do not....God's word is the measuring tool in all debate and all issues and all concerns.

6.  It matters naught what the world chooses to believe, make law or condone. What makes my soul howl and cry is how easily the masses are lead down the path of no return and no life...It is not what God wants for his children.... and he suffers when he sees us walk away from his word.

The truth has set me free and I struggle daily to live God's word and when I slip and fall, I am convicted, pick myself up, ask for his forgiveness and try harder.  It is a never ending battle but one I have won through the Cross.....Anyone can have this freedom....you can choose it and it will set you free from the bondage of sin.....

The Purpose of Life

The Purpose Of Life excerpt from our Daily Devotion which Tom and I read each morning...An enpowering way to start the day

God created mankind primarily because He desired to have a
family. In order to truly fellowship with God, man had to have
freedom of choice. Unfortunately, man used his freedom to rebel
against God and fell from fellowship with God.

When man fell he came under the dominion of the devil, because
he followed the devil's suggestion to disobey God. With this
came spiritual death and a new nature which was selfish. Man
became self-centered -- actually worshiping himself by making
every decision based on what was best for him. The result of
this selfishness is evident all around us: horrible misery and
suffering.

God is just and obeys His own laws. Justice requires that
rebellion be punished. To be just, yet allow mankind to come
back into fellowship with Him, God Himself came to earth as the
man Jesus Christ. He suffered a horrible death as the
substitute for all mankind, taking the punishment we deserved
for our sins. Because of what Jesus did, God could justly
forgive all sin, and open a way for all people to come back
into fellowship with God.

Jesus Christ Himself is the only way to God. Only by receiving
Jesus can we enjoy the benefits of His sacrifice, which sets us
free from sin and its judgment.

Our life on earth now is testing and preparation for eternity,
to determine if we qualify to be in God's family. This is not
determined by human beauty or achievement, but by our
willingness to submit to the lordship of Jesus Christ. When we
submit to Jesus, He begins changing us into what He wants us to
be.

When you come to Jesus, He changes you inwardly. As you
continue following Jesus and obeying His Word, your inward
change will continue manifesting outwardly, causing people and
circumstances around you to change also. God will continue
working in and through you until you become like Jesus Christ
in your thoughts and actions, as well as your nature.

Thank you Lord for your great plan!

Feeling Good

Daily I am assaulted with "feel good" remedies from lots of "people" who feel they have the answer to "feeling good"

It took time for me to understand that for me to "feel good" I had to ask for it from God through accepting Jesus Christ by which I gained eternal life.

The concept is so unbelievably easy that it can not be possibly so. But, in reality, it is not easy. It takes laying down my free will and accepting and not questioning God's will.

That is hard since I believed I knew what was best for me. But, knowing that I am on the path, not there by a long shot, but on the path, one step at a time makes me feel real good

I HAVE ONE VOTE...AND IT IS PRO-LIFE

DO YOU KNOW HOW DIFFICULT IT IS TO SLEEP AT NIGHT KNOWING THAT THE DEMOCRAT OR REPUBLICAN PARTY YOU BELONG TO MEANS ABSOLUTELY NOTHING.......YOUR VOTE SHOULD BE YOUR BELIEFS...YOUR CONSCIENCE.   HOW STUPID  IS IT  TO BELONG TO A PARTY THAT SUPERSEDES YOUR BELIEFS. AND THEN FEEL THAT YOU HAVE TO VOTE THAT WAY????  PLEASE.....   NO MUSS...N O FUSS...NO THOUGHT.....WHY IN THE WORLD WOULD YOU VOTE AGAINST YOUR BELIEFS??

SO MY FRIENDS....I HAVE ONE VOTE AND IT IS PRO-LIFE.  SO IF THE CANDIDATES FOLLOW MY BELIEF....THEY GET MY VOTE.  PARTIES HAVE NOTHING TO DO WITH IT.....SO...WHAT DO YOU DO IF YOUR CANDIDATE DOES NOT SUPPORT YOUR BELIEFS????  PRETTY SIMPLE....YOU VOTE FOR THE CANDIDATE THAT DOES SUPPORT YOUR VIEWS...MOST PEOPLE WILL NOT BE BRAVE ENOUGH TO DO THAT....WHY ARE THEY GIVING  UP THEIR PRINCIPALS SO EASILY???  MAYBE THEY CAN TELL US....WE ARE LISTENING.......

To Every thing there is a season

and a time to every purpose under the heaven:

A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted;

A time to kill, and a time to heal;a time to break down and a time to build up

A time to weep, and a time to laugh;a time to mourn, and a time to dance

A time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together;a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing;

A time to get, and a time to lose;a time to keep, and a time to cast away;

A time to rend, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to speak;

A time to love, and a time to hate; a time of war, and a time of peace

Why I perceive that there is nothing better, than that a man should rejoice in his own works; for that is his portion: for who shall bring him to see what shall be after him? Ecclesiastes 3:1-8 and 22

I am really enjoying the macro lens and have been drawn to photographing things past their prime, flowers, trees, stumps, us.....Things not perfect...things not pretty to some and yet who is to tell what wonderful adventures they had along the way and maybe it feels good to quit trying so hard to impress people and just be content in oneself where and how you are at the moment. Maybe???
