THE CANCER I FELT

THE CANCER I FELT
combining feelings with the ancient art of felting
The oldest known description and surgical treatment of cancer was discovered in Egypt and dates back to approximately 1600 B.C.
Felt is the oldest textile fabric dating back as far as 6300 BC  It is created from wool fibers that are densely matted together.
I’LL NEVER FORGET HOW I FELT:
WHEN I FELT SOMETHING WAS WRONG……….
HOW I FELT WHEN I WAS DIAGNOSED……..
WHEN I FELT THERE WAS HOPE………
WHEN I FELT THE SUPPORT FROM OTHER PEOPLE…….
WHEN I FELT THE SOOTHING BALM OF REMISSION…
WHEN I FELT I WAS NOT ALONE…….
WHEN I FELT OK AGAIN……..
THIS IS THE CANCER I FELT with my hands and my heart
WET FELTED ART BRA COMBINING RAW WOOL FIBERS WITH SILK AND NETTING AND CREATING FABRIC TO ENCASE THE BRA AS A SYMBOL OF ENCASING THE SPIRIT WITH LOVE AND SUPPORT.
IN LOVING MEMORY OF ANDY MILNE AND HIS COURAGEOUS BATTLE WITH CANCER.

Your revelations about life and the subsequent enjoyment that you have come into finding have truly been inspiring to me. For I too, have had a rough life with past mistakes and ongoing tribulations that have come about because of them. I have now found a new love of my life and I know that this is the right phase of my life. To have a new love, who accepts me as I am, the mess I make when Felting, and wants me to even teach him to make felt, is a big rush which makes my life very satisfying now.
Besides, I am a wild woman too.
Cheers
Julie
